Across three years, we have worked with internationally acclaimed Geelong ensemble Back to Back Theatre — a company of neurodivergent and disabled artists — to design a series of Annual Reports that balance corporate clarity with their art-driven ethos.

The 2025 report features artworks by Noah Kae Choi, created through Back to Back’s residency program. Used as textural and graphic elements throughout, the works shift between full compositions and cropped details, bringing movement and expression to a flexible editorial grid while maintaining clarity and accessibility.

In 2024, we built on the tactile and expressive language established the previous year, deepening the theatrical atmosphere while sharpening clarity. Hand-drawn illustrations by Rita Halabarec immerse readers in Back to Back’s imaginative world, while cleanly structured governance pages anchor the document with transparency.

The 2023 report established the visual foundation for the series. Designed for print and digital, it prioritised accessibility while reflecting the company’s commitment to inclusion and community. Asymmetrical layouts, drifting headlines and layered compositions echoed the fluidity of live performance, while financial sections remained clear and structured with restrained colour accents.

Together, the reports demonstrate how accessibility, accountability and experimental design can coexist with confidence, creating functional documents that feel like an extension of Back to Back’s creative practice.
